I now have proof that Joseph Drake son of Joseph was born abt 1798 in Bath - that was what he had on the 1851 census but he was living in London, so it may be a place near Bath not the city itself. They both came to London - and senior was a widower when he married in 1807 and so was junior when he married in 1826. So it would seem to be that they came to London fairly shortly after Joseph jnr was born. There seem to be very few records on the web in comparison to some other counties and I can't find anything for Bath. Any help would be gratefully received.   Paul Eggleton
