    3. Dear list members,, Please, I am trying to find more information about my 3rd great grandfather James G. Willie's life in England before he emigrated. He was a was from Taunton, and family story says that he moved to Bristol and was a clerk in the mercantile business before going to New York, USA. I found this wonderful site, and wish I could thank the owner/indexer. http://www.paulhyb.homecall.co.uk/news/BRID1831.HTM It had the following: Bridgwater and Somersetshire Herald, 6 Jul 1831: At the Bridgwater Q Sessions was a case: Charles Grabham, linen draper, his cotton stolen; his wife Amy Gragham; Mary Ann Warry, shopwoman to Mr. Grabham witness; Diana Baker, wife of Wm Baker, charged with stealing cotton. There were other cases of items stolen, etc., at the Bridgwater Quarter Sessions, with several witnesses. One witness to one of the cases was James Willie, shopman. Amy Grabham, is James G. Willie's sister, and I am wondering if there is any way for me to learn if the "James Willie, shopman" was a witness of the Grabham case or another case? Could this possible be my "James G. Willie." Would these films give this information, as I don't have access to the records in England, since I live in the USA. https://familysearch.org/search/catalog/1175907?availability=Family%20History %20Library Somerset Quarter sessions rolls, 1561-1851 Quarter sessions rolls, 1830-1831 Family History Library British Film 2356855 Quarter sessions rolls, 1831 Family History Library British Film 2356887 Thank you, Celia
