G'day Pat Thanks for your time and trouble. That definitely sounds like her. I wonder how long she had been at it. Her last husband (putative) Samuel Trapnell died in 1866 and it is possible that he fathered her son John Richards Click whose birth I have not found a registration for in the records, just a baptismal entry at St Mary's, Bridgwater where she is described as 'spinster' by the curate. Brian with whom you put me in touch some years ago seemed to think that John was Samuels 's child. If she was 'at it' in 1869 it is even feasible that someone other than Samuel was the child's father. As for Charles William Bush Click it is quite likely that he was fathered by Robert Burt. Louisa was into her 42nd year at the time and it is likely, given what I now suspect, that Charles didn't thrive. Do you know anything about the area around Bath Road. Her address on the baptismal entry is given as Pricketts Lane which is the same area where she appears on the 1861 Census with Samuel Trapnell. Is or was that close to Bath Road? Hope that you are not affected by the flooding which was reported in our local newspaper and by my cousin who lives in Monmouthshire just across the Bristol Channel. We could certainly do with some of the rain here as it has been the the driest January since records began about 130 years ago. Anyway, once more thanks for your time, trouble and effort. Louisa certainly got around and I am sure I haven't got to the last of what I suspect was her life as a 'charwoman'.
