Hannah BAKER was born at Loxton, Somerset on January 8, 1841, and married David Samuel BATCHELOR on June 18, 1866 at Islington, Middlesex. Their son David Shaw Baker BATCHELOR was born at Islington on November 29, 1866, and their daughter Ada Hannah BATCHELOR was born at Hoxton, Middlesex in about 1867. I have been able to track the family through successive census, marriage and death records except for 1871. I cannot find Hannah, or her two children. I have found her husband in Portland Gaol, sentenced to five years for larceny, but cannot find the remainder of the family until the birth of the next child, William Ernest on May 2, 1875. I have looked under both BATCHELOR and BAKER, with variants, as David Samuel and the children were found to have used both, but have had no success.
