Harry: I wouldnt put to much faith what is in the Australian Directory as truth. It is only other people research that was submitted. We have found that "grudges" would be enough to omit a family member out of that book, and in some cases, extra wives have been noted for some family members. If you had a Free Mason in your family, they also seemed to be omitted. All Information is only at the historian that submitted its, hands. Its a base to go on, but everything needs to be researched past what is in that bio index. The editor dosnt have time to check for truth. The Australian dictionary of Biography gives it as 24th May 1887. Some time between April 1871 and August 1875 Charles Burton Newenham, sometime Sheriff of South Australia and his wife Mary Louisa née Darley, together with their daughter, Emily Grace, and her husband, Sir Charles Cooper, sometime Chief Justice of South Australia, moved to Bath where they lived in Pulteney Street. All four of them died in Bath: Mary - 28 March 1880, Sir Charles – 24 April 1887, Charles – 18 November 1887, Emily – 18 October 1906. In this context I have three questions: 1. Would there be any way that I could find out where they are buried? 2. Is it possible to find out whether there are any headstones, memorials etc.? 3. If so, is there a source of photographs of these headstones or memorials? Thanking you in anticipation.
