In the journal of the Somerset Records Society (vol lxvii, pp 52-3) is an article "Sales of Wards in Somerset, 1603-41". One entry concerns the lands of Sir George Rodney who died in 1601. Francis Trenchard, age 19, was one of the heirs and I believe this documents was created because he was not of age. It describes the various properties and follows this format: "The Manor of Rodney Stoke ... held of the late Q. as of her Honour of Gloucester by K.S...." I assume Q refers to the queen but I don't understand the term "her Honour of Gloucester" (the property was in Somerset). Also, does anyone know what K S stands for? Donna
