I have not been able to find a birth or marriage for him in Wales or England. He was supposed to have married a Harriet Ann Davies and their first daughter,Mary Ann, was born in the Blackwood area in 1855 He was a railway labourer. When he died he was an iron mine worker and by then had a second daughter, Sophia Heritage. Both girls were in Kingston, Hereford, workhouse in 1861 with their mother's surname Davies. On leaving, both reverted to their father's name Heritage. Many Heritages are from the Evesham area where his daughter Mary Ann went to live. I found some Heritages in the Frome area and wondered if anyone knows of a William Heritage. He is not the mariner W.H. who married a Harriet Nurse in Somerset. Cannot find a marriage or death for Harriet Davies/Heritage that fits, either. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
