Hi List, I am trying to consolidate my information on the BENDALL family as I seem to have hit a brick wall on getting back any further than my 3xg grandparents. George Joseph BENDELL was married to Sarah NELLING on the 20th Aug 1804 at Bath St. James. No parish was given for George, but Sarah had Lyncombe & Widcombe given as her Parish.The spelling of the surmane seems to alternate through various documents. They had the following children :- Mary Ann BENDALL b1805 bap 21st July 1805 St. Swithins married Jeremiah WINDATT on 27th Jan 1834 at Lyncombe, she died in 1881 in Liverpool. They had issue. Jane BENDALL b 1807 married William TYLEE on 29th March 1829 at Thomas A Becket Church Widcombe. Died 1860 at Walcot, Somerset. They had Issue Charles BENDALL 1808 I have no baptism. married Mary STRONG 20th October 1828 at Lyncombe and Widcombe. Possibly went to Yorkshire. Had Issue. Sarah BENDALL 1810 I have no baptism , became a servant died 1841 in Widcombe unmarried. George (Joseph) BENDALL b 1812 I have no Baptism, married Jane Alice KIRKHAM in Bristol 26th December 1831. Died 1875 Bristol. They had issue. (my 2x great grandparents) Elizabeth BENDALL 1815 baptised Eliza 6th March 1815 at Bathwick married William WHITE 21 st November 1836 Lyncombe and Widcombe. They had Issue. Harriett BENDALL 1816 baptised 24th June 1816 at Bathwick married Nathaniel PALMER on 16th October 1837 at Eling, Southampton . Have found no issue. James BENDALL 1818 baptised 12th April 1818 at Bathwick believed to have married Charlotte SARGEANT no marriage found. died 1839 Lyncombe at Widcombe. They had issue. Caroline (Augusta) BENDALL 1824 baptised 1st February 1824 at Bathwick. Married Abraham JAMES at St. Mary the Virgin Bathwick 10th August 1851. They had Issue. William BENDALL 1825 Baptised 25th October 1825 at Bathwick married Martha EACOTT 4th December 1845 at St. Thomas A Becket Bathwick. They had Issue. Frderick BENDALL c1833 I know nothing about him, except his appeaance on the 1841 census with the family in Middle Lane Widcombe. I would like to find the three missing baptisms, and try to breakthough the brick wall as far as George and Sarah are concerned. I have followed their children's familys as far as I am able.
