If I have the right people, William HOCKEY was buried at Charlton Adam on 18 October 1885 aged 81 and his wife Martha was buried at Adam on 11 May 1866 aged 61. In 1871 William still had three unmarried children (Walter, Lucy Ann & Louisa) living with him, as well as his older unmarried sister Ann HOCKEY aged 75. William HOCKEY and Martha WALTER were married at Charlton Adam on 6 September 1827 (both were able to sign their names). Martha WALTER, daughter of John and Sarah WALTER, was baptised at Charlton Adam on 21 April 1805 (from the BTs and, though it is faint on the microfiche, the CA Register) but her parents - John WALTER and Sarah COATE - were married at Keinton Mandeville on 27 December 1802. I think there may be a baptism for William HOCKEY son of Thomas and Elizabeth at Charlton Adam in 1804, possibly October 10th, but need to check that as the page is extremely difficult to read and unfortunately there is no surviving BT for that year. Thomas and Elizabeth HOCKEY did also have a daughter Ann baptised at CA on 19 November 1797. Thomas HOCKEY and Elizabeth SHEPARD were married at Charlton Adam on 20 September 1789.
