I thought that the delay in registering his birth could have been so that his parents were married prior to the registration. Doesn't explain why the 2 children weren't baptized together, though. . On the marriage entry her only name was Mary. Haven't found her baptism yet, so can't be absolutely certain that she didn't have a middle name, however she's always listed as plain 'Mary' on censuses where we've found her.
