    3. Does anyone have access to the Winford records please. I have looked at Mary Mason's and Ian Sage's sites and they are not there. I have the details of a 1702 marriage but would like to see the actual entry and wondered if there was anyone that had access to them. My local LDS has reduced hours now and I can't get there for some time to order a film if there is one. Will check that out but thought I would ask via the list in the meantime. Thanks for any help. These are typical entries from that period, albeit from Walton: Joseph Bartlet and Grace Price of West Pennard Sept 21 1703 Thomas Cole and Elizabeth Everdel of Glaston [sic] Jan 10 1703/4 [sic] Richard Frampton and Sarah Chick Apr 18 1704 You won't get any more information than that unless the bride and/or groom or their fathers were local worthies, even then not always. There was no requirement for occupations, the fathers names or witnesses at that date and no one signed the register. It was just what the incumbent or parish clerk or whoever completed the register wrote. I won't be going to the record office again until at least September. In the meantime you can check out whether there is a film and it's number on www.familysearch.org and click on the link for the catalogue -- Charani (UK) OPC for Walton, SOM http://wsom-opc.org.uk
