Self contained is cheapest; B&B can be very expensive; you might try for 'weekly rates' mid term or 'off' season. Agreed... for nightly B&B's I'd budget around £25-£30 per person per night for most places. Avoid late July to early September as that's the peak holiday season, B&B/hotel prices get inflated during this period and travelling around especially on the M5 southbound gets a little lengthy. June would probably (IMO) be the best time to visit. Where in the UK (presumably somewhere in somerset?) are you planning on visiting?
