The oldest record I have is John William Burge M Charlotte Rowe 13/3/1806 Wivelscombe Only 1 son Robert b abt 1817 M Elizabeth Short m 1848 in Kingston by Taunton, Somerset, 2 Sons John Robert abt 1852 William abt 1851 Information sourced from the immigration papers of Robert and Elizabeth and family. Have not got round to further research of the family however I would have doubts about Robert being and only son and the ages would be about right. Nothing surprises me anymore I photgraph headstones in the smaller cemeteries in my area and post that i have the details on Ancestry.com Had an enquirey for Woodhill near Brisbane and truns out the enquirer is related back about 6 generations.
