HI List, I am hoping to find somebody researching these families who lived in the Taunton area from at least the 1820's. I have the Drew family back to RICHARD DREW born about 1788 North Curry according to census, he married ELIZABETH STUCKEY in St James Taunton 1811, and had children in Creech St Michael. Also JAMES HAWKINGS born about 1821 in Hillfarrance son of ISAAC HAWKINGS and SARAH CHORLEY. JAMES HAWKINGS married about 1848, according to GRO index could be either MARY ANN DUNN or MARY ANN WHITE, BUT in the census she is listed as SARAH and they are in Bishops Hull. James died pre 1871 census, most likely September quarter 1865. Any connection out there ? if so would love to hear from you as I am finding Somerset research much harder than other areas I have worked in. Thanks Daphne. New Zealand.
