The occupier, Mrs Ann Pottrell, a widow in her seventy- ninth year, who was under medical treatment, went to a cupboard where she kept the mixture prescribed for her and a lotion. She drank by mistake a wineglassful of the latter. She directly afterwards discovered her error.
