    3. Sorry, no - I can say that: " In 1913 Punnett married a widow, Eveline Maude Froude Nutcombe-Quicke (d. 1965), daughter of John Froude Bellew of Stockleigh English, Devon; they had no children. After his marriage Punnett diverted his formidable athletic activities from cricket to tennis. In 1943 he retired to Somerset, where he maintained his wide interests, which included Japanese prints, Chinese porcelain, biologists of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and wine: he retained a personal cellar at Caius, which he visited annually. At seventy-four he published humorous verse in Latin. He died on 3 January 1967 while playing bridge at his home, Bilbrook Lodge, Bilbrook, Washford, near Minehead in Somerset." If that's any help. (He was a geneticist). I don't suppose you happen to know if Reginald was buried or cremated? There are rows of cremation plaques lining the church path and it would help if I knew whether to look there or at the newish headstones (don't worry if you don't know). Incidentally, the only Old Cleeve MIs online are the WWI/II Rolls of Honour which I put on http://wsom-opc.org.uk/Data/index.html. There is no record of the headstones online. I need to either plead with the vicar (who I know has a list of sorts), or crawl round the churchyard and do it myself some time! Jan

    3. What an interesting man! I googled Bilbrook Lodge and it looks as if its still there - a Dr Currie applied for planning permission for a new stable block in 2000. I'm going to be staying in Bilbrook in June, so I'll try and take you a photo of it if you'd like? It occurs to me Peter that if he lived in Bilbrook he was on the main road and not far from Carhampton, so he could have been buried at St John the Baptist in Carhampton. I'll look there if I can't find him at Old Cleeve.
