Hello all, I am trying to find a marriage for this couple, which I think would be about 1841/42, perhaps. I found a family which I am pretty sure in them on the 1851 census, and cannot find them after that, because although I don't know when, I know they emigrated to New Zealand. In 1851, there is John Jefferis aged 46 Ann Jefferis aged 35 Ann Jefferis aged 2 Benjamin J Jefferis aged 7 Hester Jefferis aged 5 John Jefferis aged 3 Lucy Jefferis aged 8 Wellington F Jefferis aged 37 (Brother of John) This is the only UK info I have as yet. I have the same family members in NZ, with the exception of Wellington. I would be very grateful for any info/advice on this family. Regards Jan Moon Daintree, Australia

Thanks Philip and everyone else who answered this query.
Jan, Whereabouts were your Jefferis ancestors residing in the 1851 census? Once I know then I'll have a look at the later censuses to see where they are in later years and (hopefully) before they emigrated to NZ.
