Looks like there were two John Dyers living at the same time, one somewhat older than the other. The elder John married Mary Marchant in 1744 and died in 1766. Mary died in 1763. The younger John married Frances (somewhere) and died in 1798. Frances died in 1786. Frances probably lived in one of the towns close to Wedmore and they were married in her hometown.
