Celia/Laurie Thanks for your input. I don't know of an Arthur F Osborne aged 21 or 22, probably some kind of cousin, but the Kate entry looks very good, thank you both so much. I thought I was going mad, at least I can get her death cert. The earliest of my Osbornes I have is Samuel born 1758 in Chiselborough, Somerset, married to Elizabeth Blackmoor, they had a son Samuel, married to Hester Genge (her birth is a mystery). Don't know if they originated in Churchstanton, could be? Any info gratefully received. It's interesting to put Chiselborough Osborne into Google - you get over 4000 hits. This is the first of them: http://www.nortonsubhamdon.org.uk/history/1901%20Chiselborough%20Census.htm, so there were still some Osbornes in Chiselborough in 1901. Hello Laurie I have looked at this before and believe that this family are cousins of my line. Re Arthur F Osborne below, I now realise that he was my grandmother's brother - I had thought he'd died earlier. Will still keep on with trying to find the older Arthur. Thanks for all your help. Celia and Laurie Thanks to your input I have now discovered that Arthur Osborne my Gt Grandfather died in 1942, also found out that he married again after Kate Osborne (1st wife) died in 1928. The Arthur Frederick Samuel Osborne was my Great Uncle who died in 1928 of chronic pneumonia, exhaustion and melancholia! Many thanks for pointing e in the right direction.
