    3. Hello all.....I am interested in finding a 1812/13 birth record.....probably at Hamdon/Stoke.....I`m told that the record would be held at Taunton......any suggestions ?? Regards, Val.

You won't get a birth record at that date, only baptismal. Are you referring to Stoke sub Hamdon? If so, yes, the registers are held at Taunton. You have various options: you could check the online catalogue on www.familysearch.org to see (a) where your nearest LDS FHC is and (b) the film number so that you can hire it and check for yourself. You could employ an independent researcher to search for you for a fee. You could make use of the record office's own research service, for a fee.     3. Thank you Charani.....yes, I realise that it would only be a baptism .......slip of the finger or brain so to speak !! Our LDS Centre is about 30mins. away so will pay them a visit.....will cost me $5.....well and truelly worth it....... As always.....thanks for the help.
