There is a small book called "My Ancestors Were Congregationalists in England and Wales" which may give you some useful background information. I know that it is available from Gould Books in Adelaide http://www.gould.com.au/ Have you seen the 1841 census, which shows that George was not born in Somerset? I have a copy if you need it.
