    3. Good Morning I have Nichols/Nicholls in Somerset: it seems they married at St Cuthberts, Wells. The connections to Nichols/Nicholls, are Wilkinson, Clutterbuck, Kneebone and Vaughan. Is there anybody researching these families ? 3. Because Wells was an important City in Somerset many people seemed to gravitate there to get married. Have you any idea where your NICHOLS were living? From the ages given when they were buried, Samuel NICHOLS was born about 1775 and Rebecca DYER was born in about 1769 - They both died in 1843 so all I know about them is that they were both born in Somerset (according to the 1841 census). >> >

    3. Hi Pat, unfortunately, we do not know where our people were living... We know that the Clutterbuck connection was from Cornwall, with a connection in Cadbury. The Kneebone connection also from Truro in Cornwall Vaughan has me stumped: George Vaughan was a military man, and Frances Nicholls, daughter of Frances WILKINSON and John NICHOLLS was underage. I will make contact with other family researchers, and ask pertinent questions Best wishes On 09/04/2008, Pat Hase <pat@pathase.demon.co.uk> wrote: > > Because Wells was an important City in Somerset many people seemed to > gravitate there to get married.
