My studies of the folks of Combe St Nicholas have, inevitably, taken me to the neighbouring parish of Buckland St Mary. Some of my recent discoveries led me to write to Bill Hurford with whom I'd been in contact a couple of years ago - but he has apparently changed his address. If Bill is still subscribed, or if any other lister can help, please get in touch because I have found a link between his family and some of my Combe cousins, through the marriage of Matthew Billing & Prudence Oaten at BSM in 1805.
