Hi Christine - this may be totally unrelated but IGI has a Michael Ayres WILLCOX baptised 1816 Bristol to parents Michael and Elizabeth. Could be worth looking into? Large family of WILLCOXs in Weston super Mare in 1841 - head of family is a yeoman farmer but no sign of a Michael anywhere.
