    1. Re: [ENG-SOM] Crocker surname...
    2. I know this may be a wild card but it may be of interest. One of my Catchpole family married an Alfred Crocker. Sarah Ann Catchpole married a John Chandler in 1897 in Moorlinch Somerset and had two children Henry and Herbert. John Chandler died in 1898. In the 1901 census Sarah is working as a housekeeper at 32 Hill House, Moorlinch, Bridgwater for Alfred Crocker who was a Master Mariner. Sarah married Alfred in 1902 in Brentford Middlesex. Alfred came from Middlesex. regards Bob -----Original Message----- From: Lyn Crocker Sent: Sunday, November 06, 2011 9:09 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ENG-SOM] Crocker surname... Hi Steade No I have not come across that spelling so far, very interesting though. The Crocker family in my tree is a bit of a brickwall . From what info I have gained so far they all come from around the Chew Stoke, Nempnett area. I even hired a researcher over in Taunton to do some searching for me, they couldn't find any info different to what I had found. This mother Sarah Jane Crocker/Croker had an illegitimate son & I have her family but she just disappeared without a trace, very frustrating. Sarah could have made it a bit easier for us down the track, didn't she know someone would be looking for her in over a hundred years time. Hello Lynette Crocker, Have you ever come across an early spelling for Crocker similar to Cruqquor or Creve-coeur?
