Hi Ronald I have looked at the image of the census page and the name as written is definitely Edward Mabey, aged 23 and born Hazelbury Somerset. I strongly suspect that this is the Edwin you are looking for and that the first name has been recorded incorrectly - it is interesting to note that the entries above and below both also show the first name Edward. He is shown as a private in the Somerset Infantry, which may be a starting point for confirming the correct name. I have no specific knowledge here but a place to begin looking may be www.britisharmedforces.org which has a section on the Somerset Light Infantry.
