Hello all, My name is Robyn Wright & I live in Rockhampton, Central Queensland Australia. I have for some time been trying to find the birth of my g x 3 grandfather William George Morgan (sometimes just George) . I have obtained all of the birth certificates of his children & his marriage certificate to Harriett Hinds, Harriett was from Fairfield in Kent. William & Harriett married after the birth of all the children in Sydney. On the children's birth certificates he kept giving a marriage time that is not correct & the marriage in Victoria is just leading you away from the fact that they were not married, I suspect he had something to hide, possibly already married! The marriage certificate gives his parents as William Morgan, painter, & mother as Maria Hill. I have never been able to find his birth or the marriage either & as he gives his birth as Bristol Somersetshire, I am hoping that somebody may have come across his birth & his parent's marriage. His age varies on the certificates & gives him as being born from 1813 to 1826. He is a difficult fellow, but I guess having a name like William Morgan does not help! Here is a list of the children: Harriett Maria, 1857. William, 1859. John F, 1861. Mary Ann, 1863. Frederick George, 1866. Possibly also an Arthur. William died 1871 & his age given by his Brother in Law is 58 years in Redfern Sydney N.S.W. Any help greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Robyn
