Hi, This is my first post to the Eng Somerset site. My main famiy is Star/Starr from Cheddar. Joseph Star {b1799 Cheddar}, m Jane Ham {b1809 Weare} 1830 at St Mary Ratcliffe. Bristol. They had 11 children, all bpt at St Andrew's, Cheddar, 2 of whom died before the family came to Australia. The family lived at Steart Bushes before leaving for Australia in 1856, and settled in country Victoria. Their 9th child John Gardiner Star was my great grandfather. Other family names I have are Baber, Day, and Gardener. Hoping some one may have a connection to my family Patricia.
