>From Townsville Daily Bulletin ( Qld.: 1885-1954 ) Tuesday 13 May 1913 Page 3 of 8 ( Australia Trove ) The death occurred on March 23 at his residence, Tangier Villa, Castle Green, Taunton, England, of Mr. John Crump GREENE , father of Mrs. COPELAND , Mitchell-street, and an old and respected townsman of Taunton. He was for 50 years connected with the typographical department of the "Somerset County Gazette," and that paper devotes a column to the long and honorable career of Mr. GREENE both as a citizen and a churchman, and also publishes his portrait. The deceased gentleman was in his seventy-eighth year, and although a good deal invalided of late by occasional attacks of bronchitis and influenza, could with difficulty be persuaded to relinquish any portion of his work, and would never seriously entertain the suggestion often made of taking a holiday, but practically remained in harness until a few days before his death.
