Through FreeReg I have just identified the maiden name of my gg grandma, as above. She married Isaac PLUMMER in 1832 at Wellow and they produced a large part of the Durham MAGGS clan. Unfortunately their FreeReg marriage entry does not give their parents. According to all of the censuses from 1851 to 1881 she was born in Wellow Doing search for COLES in Wellow only gives one hit of the wrong gender at the wrong time, COLE gives many hist, but not Joanna and just searching Somerset doesn't work either. Unfortunately it won't let me search on just Joanna, working on the assumption that she was possibly born out of wedlock or to a first marriage. So, anybody else got any ideas? Cheers Steve

Hi Steve, As the marriage was in 1832 the register would not show parents names. I would recommend you join Wellow Hundred Yahoo Group ( http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/wellow/) where you will find transcription files. However I can tell you that there is no baptism in Wellow around 1813.
