    3. Hello Steve In 1851 a Joanna Plummer with husband Isaac is living at WRITHLINGTON, Somerset with a visitor to the household, Benjamin Coles, born Wellow. Could this be yours? I'm interested because I used to have a Benjamin Coles too! Kind regards Diana ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve" <[email protected]> To: "ENG Somerset" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 29, 2011 6:30 PM Subject: [ENG-SOM] Searching for birth Joanna COLES Wellow c1813 > Through FreeReg I have just identified the maiden name of my gg grandma, > as above. > > She married Isaac PLUMMER in 1832 at Wellow and they produced a large part > of the Durham MAGGS clan. > > Unfortunately their FreeReg marriage entry does not give their parents. > > According to all of the censuses from 1851 to 1881 she was born in Wellow > > Doing search for COLES in Wellow only gives one hit of the wrong gender at > the wrong time, COLE gives many hist, but not Joanna and just searching > Somerset doesn't work either. > > Unfortunately it won't let me search on just Joanna, working on the > assumption that she was possibly born out of wedlock or to a first > marriage. > > So, anybody else got any ideas? > > Cheers > Steve > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Hi Diana, Yes, they are mine. The daughter, Eliza, married a James Maggs and then somewhere between 1861 and 1865 they migrated to the Durham coal fields. As Benjamin was only marked as a visitor, I had not thought about him being a cousin until discovering Joanna's surname.
