Good afternoon listers, It's been many years since I've subscribed to this list. My name is Connie and I'm from Victoria Australia. I am doing some research for a friend. Tracing James BAKER possibly born abt. 1797 Easton-on-Gordano. Parents may have been John BAKER and Hannah BISHOP I believe he married Mary YEELES who was possibly chr 6 April 1800 Nailsea, not sure which church. Their issue being Hannah, born abt.1825, Thomas Olver -1828, Mary-1829 Elizabeth 1833? and John-1835. Could SKS confirm chr/birth please. Thomas Olver came to Australia with his wife Amelia Jones also from Somerset. Finding the correct death for James would be a bonus too. I found one on Free BDM's for 1874- Somerset. I have found a James and Mary on the 1841 and 1851 census, Bedminster district sub division Yatton and Mary Baker is on the 1881 English census listed as widowed in West End Somerset , 81 years old , Seamstress, birthplace Nailsea Somerset together with a daughter Elizabeth aged 48 years". If anyone else is researching this family would love to hear from you. Thank you Connie
