There won't be a certificate because the marriage took place before civil registration. I answered the same query on the Bristol_and_Somerset list, yesterday. This is my reply: ---------------------------------------------- The marriage took place, by banns, at the church of St. John the Baptist, Bedminster. Both bride and groom were of the parish. Information about this church is here: http://www.churchcrawler.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/bedmjb.htm ---------------------------------------------- This marriage is included in the CD of Bristol Diocese Marriage Registers Vol 9 Groom & Bride Indexes & Transcripts 1754-1812 produced by Bristol & Avon Family History Society. www.bafhs.org.uk -- Josephine Jeremiah www.ianandjo.dsl.pipex.com
