    3. The marriage records do still exist for Wadham Street Baptist - although it was bombed during the war - I understand that copies of the Marriage Registers are in the Register Office in Weston, but I doubt if any other records are available with them. The Register Office 41 Boulevard Weston-super-Mare BS23 1PG Email: [email protected] Telephone: 01934 627 552 Florrie might be Flora but I can't find a Flora GERRISH either. I see that there is a Florence GERRISH of the right age as a Nurse in a household in Leighton Buzzard in 1891 and with another family in Marsworth, Buckinghamshire in 1901 - In both instances she was born in Clifton, Bristol. I'll keep a look out for her - I have the name GERRISH married into my family but none that meet your requirements at the moment! 2. Hello, While we are on the subject of brick walls, I would appreciate any suggestions from other researchers. I am stumped by how to locate my 3rd great grandfather, Samuel Rawlins, a watch finisher, who baptized three of his children in 1845 in Islington. I believe that these children may have been born in Ireland. Samuel's son, also a Samuel reported in the US 1880 census that he was born in Ireland to English parents. The baptismal record states that Samuel jr. was born in 1839, his brother Alfred in 1842 and sister Mary in 1844. I would have assumed that these folks were from Islington, except that hundreds of people in the watch and clock trade descended upon Clerkenwell in 1845 to protest mechanization and foreign influence. Several years ago, I found a Samuel Rawlins born in Yeovil in 1773 who had gone to Ireland, married and gotten into trouble. His father, a Dr. Thomas Rawlins corresponded with authorities in Dublin on behalf of his young son.. There are a few Samuel Rawlins who appear in early census records in Somerset, but none that I can find who were "watch finishers'. I have not found any of the children in the GRO records. The family does not appear in tact in any census record. Samuel jr. left Ireland for the US in 1867, He worked on cargo ships for several years. He came into England sometime in 1871 and left again in 1872 accompanied by a watchmaker from Wolverhampton. Here in the US, he married a German woman. He died at the young age of 45 not leaving us much to go on. The baptismal record states that Samuel Rawlins Sr. married a woman named Mary? I have identified a few possible marriages but none that appear to "pan out".There is a marriage to a Mary Ann in Bristol listed on the Familysearch site. What to do next??? It is a challenge. I have ordered a few death records from the GRO but to date have not found any information that might reveal a link. I am ready for Divine intervention!!! Thank you all for listening.
