    3. Yesterday I was in Hutton and took photographs of a damaged gravestone for the KINGTON family. (Transcription follows) On checking against the transcript of the Burial register, I wasn't able to match all the events. [My interest is through Judith KINGTON, who married in nearby Lympsham in 1792, and was probably born about 1770. She does not appear in Hutton or Lympsham baptisms.] Damaged areas indicated by ** (left side of stone) In Memory of ** of the **nn Kington. He died Apr 1781 aged 52 Also the above A** Kington who died the 8 Nov ** 5 aged 85 Also Ann dau of the said Ann Kington who died Jan 10 *** (right side of stone) Here lyeth the Body of Isaac Kington of this parish Yeoman who died ye 4th of Oct 1773 aged 83 yrs Also the Body of Jacob son of Isaac and ? Kington who died *** The burial register has Isaac and Jacob's burials. There is an Ann KINGTON buried 27 May 1770. I can see no likely entries for 1781 nor for the 'daughter of Ann' Is anyone else researching KINGTON in this area? Marion

    3. Could it be that although the family grave was in Hutton, some members had moved away? I have found before that where people moved, they might be buried in a family plot in their birth parish Catherine On 22/01/2011, at 12:33 AM, Marion wrote: > Yesterday I was in Hutton and took photographs of a damaged gravestone for > the KINGTON family.
