I have now located a marriage between William BROMHAM and Grace KIN(G)DON on 24/04/1764 @ Culbone and I should like to believe that they are the parents of John BROMHAM born in 1772 in Brendon and who died in 1844 in Porlock. Is KIN(G)DON an Exmoor name like BROMHAM or is it largely a West Somerset name? I have noted that the G is optional. many thanks Patricia Fuller Castle Cary
