A 1902 birth certificate from the GRO gives the place of birth as above, District Atcham, Sub-district of Saint Chad Shrewsbury. I know Frankwell is north of Shrewsbury, right across the Severn, but what's "U.D"? Thank you, Alejandro Milberg Boston, Mass.

Some of the modern ones for Shrewsbury end in UD. Cheers Graham
