If you don't hear from anyone else, I can certainly check 1815 for a John Mathews marriage. Shrewsbury is a bit more difficult as there are so many possibilities, also many Shrewsbury marriages are on the IGI. George MATHEWS was bap in dec 1817 in Burford parents John MATHEWS and Susan/Susannah, but I can't find a marriage in Burford. I have found a possible match on the census for John and Susan - John may have been born in Baschurch, but Baschurch marriages aren't on the IGI I would love to find a marriage for John MATHEWS and Susan/Susannah ~1815.
