Hello Kathy, Probably sending you off on the wrong track. The 1881 also gives Westbury, Shropshire, as birthplace for 70 year old widow, Hannah Dorricott. Westbury to Meifod, Montgomeryshire, is probably not close enough. The IGI gives a submission only for Hannah Parry, born April 1811, ch 30 Ap 1811. Parents Hugh Parry and Elizabeth Foulkes. John Dorricott and his family all give Worthen, Shropshire, as place of birth. Worthen is partially in Montgomeryshire. cheers, Jo.

Hi Jo, Thank you for the information, I have tracked the Dorricotts through the census, found them on all except 1861, some say Montgomery and some say Shropshire Although the date of birth is given in a Family Bible, I except that they could have made a mistake, as I have found several families with incorrect birth dates, particularly years, and incorrrect birth place. I think I will have to go to Shropshire Record Office and see if I can find anything there, but your information is a possability. Many thanks.
