Dear List, I am writing a history of the Longcroft family which has two Shropshire connections that I would like to expand upon: The first is Rev. Thomas Bearcroft MA (Oxon) (1818-1877) who was rector of the parish of Fitz from 1862 until his death. In 1868 he married Mary L. P. Honyman, a relative of Rev. Sir William Macdonald Honyman, Bart., of Cotton Hall, Whitchurch. The second connection relates to Caroline Longcroft who married Horace Aylward in London in 1820. I believe they are the parents of Annette Louisa Robertina Aylward who was born in Belgium circa 1823 and who married Major-General Charles V. Jenkins in 1847. In 1881 they were living at Cruckton Hall, Pontesbury. What I have stated above is pretty much all I know so if anyone has any further information about any of these individuals I would be very interested to hear. Thank you. James Phillips-Evans
