>Graham >Melbourne >Oz >Many thanks for the offerings - been there done that etc etc The great difficulty at ASTLEY ABBOTS and PONTESBURY is that the former has some horrendous records which are barely legible and aspirating an H in the 18th century was as tricky then as it is for some today and the latter has a tremendous number of records for LLOYD. SHROPSHIRE FHS has some very good data on Non Conformists but the records for the PONTESBURY area are problematic with the chops and changes of buildings and associated records during the late 18th and early 19th century.
