Hmmmmm, yes, that is a difficult one! There's no easy way of telling if one Anne died and John married another Anne but I would think there's a very good chance that he did. Do you know if there are children being baptised too close together to be just from one couple? I'm not sure if the witnesses will be any assistance. I think Graham's suggestion of getting hold of the parish registers through your local LDS FHC is probably your answer.
