    3. G'day from Down Under My BACHE family (listed below in 1841 Census) moved from Astley Abbotts to Sedgley in the Black Country sometime between the 1841 and 1851 Censuses From the LDS website I think Thomas' parents MAY have been Samuel & Sarah (nee GEORGE) Anyone else out there researching the name? ----------------------- 1841 Census for Astley Abbots, Shropshire Ref: HO 107/921/6 Address: Binnall Lane Thomas BACHE, 45, Ag Lab, Born in County - Yes Ann BACHE, 40, Born in County - Yes George BACHE, 35, Ag Lab, Born in County - Yes (Possible brother to Thomas ???) George BACHE, 11, Born in County - Yes Samuel BACHE, 8, Born in County - Yes Thomas BACHE, 5, Born in County - Yes Charles BACHE, 3, Born in County - Yes (My 2 x Great Grandfather) ----------------------- A strange co-incidence because I used to visit Stanley Hall in the village in the late 60s. It was then owned by Jack Thompson who owned John Thompson Ltd in Bilston where I did my Apprenticeship. Every year all the Apprentices used to go there for the day to hold a Sports Carnival. Hi Ian My records show that the following person was researching BACHE family of Shropshire in 2003. You may wish to contact her, also living in Australia, to compare notes. "Lee" <mlhaley@nor.com.au> and again, another researcher: "paul.allen" <paul.allen@wanadoo.fr> So, that ought to keep you out of mischief for a moment or two!! Cheers Graham Melbourne Oz
