Hi list Any Ideas Henry HAMPSON/HAMSON b 1841... I have found him in 1841 with parents William and Jane living High Street Wem. William and Jane Henry's parents died before the 1851 census. So all their children where left alone. maybe fostered out? I have found Henry HAMPSON in 1871/81/1901 census and he died in Derbyshire in 1917. I cannot find him on the Ancestry.com in 1851/61 census. I have been at this brick wall for 4 years..... Kind regards Janice Researching: HAMPSON, STYCHE, GLADWIN, ABBOTT, ESBERGER, HOLLINGWORTH, HEMMINGWAY, CRESSWELL, KING, MATHER, ECKERSLEY, GOODALL, ROBINSON, ARAM, GEE, GRAFTON
Hi, Have you tried going the long way on Ancestry? By clicking on country, then town, then district or parish area for the area you think he may be. eg. Shropshire, wem - brings up two districts 2a & 2b. 2a has 51 pages and 2b has 42 pages. You can go through each page checking for him. I have found a record this way when it has not been included in the indexes. A long trek but might be worth doing. Of course it is known that some pages have actually been missed altogether on Ancestry.
