I am looking for information on Joseph Rubini Tilley born 1822, married Charlotte Isabella Skit in Shrewsbury 1866. His father was John Tilley, a musician. Joseph lived in Acton Burnell and was a mineral agent. Charlotte lived in Milk Street and her father was John Skitt a poulterer. Any info would be gratefully accepted. Regards from OZ Laurie Bester

Hello to Laurie in Oz, Sort of parallel info of which you may already be aware: 1863 directory: J. Skitt, New Town, Whitchurch. Poulterer. Caution also a James Skit of Ditherington, Shrewsbury, in 1870 directory. Veterinary surgeon. Its interesting that an IGI possible christening for Charlotte Isabella spells the surname as Skett.
