Hello Laurie I fond this on the British Vital Records Disks, though it may give you a clue as to where the name Rubini came from. It was the only one on the disks out of all of England. RUBINI, Marx Engels Turati Christening Gender: Male Birth Date: 14 Oct 1899 Christening Date: 14 May 1899 Recorded in: Westminster, London, England Collection: Soho, St Anne Father: January RUBINI Mother: Emily Source: FHL Film 1468920 Dates: 1881 - 1925 None on the IGI. It's probable that Joseph was given that second name in honour of Giovanni Battista Rubini the Italian tenor of the time. So, maybe not a relative's name handed down. Fascinating though!
