The GRIFFITH/GRIFFITHS name are quite hard to work. If the subject was military and died with a pension there should be some records in the Croydon area and the Barracks history. There may even have been a marriage in the same locale. We have seen no children's list for this couple called Harriet/Harriett other than this posting with you census attachment. It would be worth the time for the researcher to follow up on the children in this list as per birth locales and even invest in one copy or try for some other researchers of the children in this list. A copy of any of these children's births should give the name of the father and mother's surname if the practice was completed. Or even a marriage for any one of these children.
