Happy New Year to all.........! Moving on from everyone's wish list for Chistmas Roll Call connections - why don't we pass on any hints and tips to those who are new to family research? Mine is when searching the IGI batch number at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers.htm don't enter a name just search the whole batch. There are some wierd and wonderful name spellings, perhaps one may be yours. Easy to do with a short batch or if your name is at the beginning of the alphabet but don't give up. Use your immagination when searching. Remember it could be a name that has been transcribed wrongly as well as the original name being miss spelled etc etc........ Happy hunting Sandra
