Hello Linda The baptism register for St Alkmund's, Whitchurch has the following entry: 5 July 1703 Martha, bastard daughter of John SANDS and Mary LEA of Whitchurch. This entry is omitted from the IGI but certainly exists (I have seen the original register). I believe that John SANDS might be the father of my 4Xgreat grandfather John SANDS, born c 1706, married Ellesmere 1730, buried Prees 1798 "age 92", for whose baptism I have been searching unsuccessfully for over 30 years.
