Hello All I've just subscribed to the List and am seeking information on the Rev Geo Owen Browne who was vicar of St. Barnabus Church, Hengoed, Oswestry. He died in Oswestry in 1929 aged 80 and I would like to know if he was buried there and if anyone has a photo of him. Anything at all really. I live in Flint, Flintshire and the Parish Church is celebrating its 160th anniversary on December 5th and they have asked me, being a member of the Flint Local History Society, to find out who were the first people baptised, married and buried in this church on that day for inclusion in next month's parish magazine and George Owen Browne was one of five that were baptised. His father was the Rev Thomas Birch Llewelyn Browne, rector of Flint from 1840-1850, who died in Bodfary, Flintshire in 1891 aged 89. For some reason they don't have a Crocksford Directory in the local record office only a Clergy List for 1898. Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Peter
